We are proud to be in a position where we can help people understand the importance of choosing the right CBD and indeed whether CBD is right for them. With CBD becoming such a trend and a buzz-word lately, there has been a great deal of news about it, and as such it’s perfectly possible (and perfectly reasonable) that you might have missed something that you would want to know about CBD and CBD oil.

In this blog we will give a brief overview of all the top CBD oil headlines that we think are deserving of your attention:

  1. CBD is now ‘insanely popular’ in the US and the UK, health experts reveal – the Metro

This article looks at Google trends and found that the number of people who had searched for terms relating to CBD products had skyrocketed in the last year. This stands in stark contrast to five years ago where nobody would use CBD related search terms such as ‘CBD products’ and ‘CBD oil UK’

By way of example, data taken from British sources demonstrate that CBD search terms overtook ‘meditation’ at the beginning of 2018.

  1. Millions of Brits wrongly believe CBD oil is illegal in the UK – The Sun

A piece of research based on a survey of 2,000 adults in the UK found that more than three quarters of these individuals were confused by CBD. Eight in ten thought that taking the naturally-derived oil was the same as smoking cannabis.

It is important to note that CBD is NOT the same as Cannabis and you will not get high from taking CBD. The psychoactive component in Cannabis is THC. You can read more about this is in our blog here.

  1. Here’s everything you need to know about CBD, the compound that’s in everything from coffee to ice cream and could soon be a $16 billion business – Business Insider

CBD is rightly noted to be popping up everywhere. It is found in many different things in many different forms, from creams to coffee to prescriptions.

CBD is estimated at a $1 billion dollar industry, and some on Wall Street think that it could reach a colossal $16 billion. CBD has attracted the attention of a spectrum of investors, from Venture capitalists, to private equity to those who make the start ups to sell the compound.
